Where are you located?

We are a team of Canadian therapists based in Oakville, Ontario, although we offer counselling in Ontario to all Ontario residents.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

 

No, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic we are only offering online counselling and therapy at this time.

What are the qualifications of your therapists?

Our therapists are Registered Psychotherapists (RP), who are members of the College of Registered Psychotherapists Ontario.

Becoming a Registered Psychotherapist requires extensive education, training, and supervision, so you can be confident knowing you are in good hands!

What are your rates? 

 

At Fresh Solutions Therapy we do things differently when it comes to rates.

We offer 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90-minute therapy sessions so you can choose the length of session that is best for you!

Our rates for individual online counselling and psychotherapy are:

30 mins | $110-125

45 mins | $150-160

60 mins | $175-185

75 mins | $200-210

90 mins | $225-260

Our rates for online marriage counselling and couples therapy are:

30 mins | $125-150

45 mins | $175

60 mins | $200

75 mins | $225

90 mins | $250-275

Please note that services and rates vary by therapist. For the most accurate information, we recommend visiting our online booking portal to see the rates and services for each therapist on our team.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes, we do offer sliding scale rates within our Affordable Therapy Program! Our standard rate for affordable individual therapy (age 18+) is $125 for a 60-minute session, and we do have some flexibility for offering lower sliding scale rates for those in need.

Please contact us to arrange a sliding scale rate and book your first appointment.

Do you take insurance?

Our services are covered by many insurance plans. Direct billing is not currently available, but after each session you will receive a receipt which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

 

What are your hours of availability?

 

Our therapists each maintain their own schedule, so whether you’re looking for a morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend appointment, chances are we’ve got you covered

Our administrative staff are available to respond to phone calls and emails Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.   

 

Please note that Fresh Solutions Therapy is not a crisis service.  If you are in crisis and require immediate assistance we strongly encourage you call Crisis Services Canada at 1-833-456-4566 or visit your local hospital or urgent care centre.

 

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

 

You are welcome to cancel or reschedule your appointment as needed up to 24 hours in advance. Please contact us if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

 

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a late cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the scheduled session.

 

Appointments that are missed without notice will be charged a no show fee equivalent to the full cost of the scheduled session.

 

As a show of mutual respect for your time, if your therapist misses your scheduled appointment without notice, you will receive your next session of the same length at no charge.

 

How does online counselling work?

 

We provide online counselling through Owl Practice, our secure, PHIPA privacy compliant, video platform.  

 

At Fresh Solutions Therapy, you will have your own private and secure Client Portal account where you can view or reschedule your upcoming appointments, set up email or text message appointment reminders, print your own receipts for insurance claims, and message your therapist directly.  

 

To get started, all you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a functioning camera and microphone and reliable internet service.  You will not be asked to download any software, and no special technical skills are required!

 

Who do you work with?

 

We work with Ontario residents ages 18 and up.

If you’re outside of Ontario, please feel free to reach out and we’ll let you know if we’re able to provide services in your area!

What issues do you treat?

At Fresh Solutions Therapy we specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We offer both individual and couples therapy.

Other issues we can help with include grief and loss, managing stress, career changes, health issues, coping with life transitions, substance abuse, building self-awareness and self-esteem, and helping you reach goals or make positive change in your life.

We are also happy to offer supportive counselling for clients who feel like they just need someone to talk to.

 

Are there any issues that you don’t treat?

 

Yes, there are some issues that are not appropriate for online counselling. 

 

We are not able to provide online counselling to clients who have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder, such as schizophrenia, or who are presenting with symptoms of psychosis. 

 

We are not able to provide online counselling to clients who have been diagnosed with a dissociative disorder, such as dissociative identity disorder, or who are presenting with symptoms of dissociation.

 

It is also important to note that we are not a crisis service, which means that we do not provide crisis, emergency, or after-hours services.   If you are in crisis and require immediate assistance we strongly encourage you call Crisis Services Canada at 1-833-456-4566 or visit your local hospital or urgent care centre.

 

How do I get started with Fresh Solutions Therapy?

 

Starting online counselling with Fresh Solutions Therapy is easy!  All you need to do is choose your therapist, book your appointment, and then click the link we’ll email you on the morning of your appointment!

 How does payment work?

Most of our clients pay by credit card with a card they keep on file with us. Payments are processed the morning following your session, and after your payment is processed, you’ll receive a receipt via email, which can be submitted for insurance reimbursement.

We also accept payment via Interac e-Transfer, in which case we’ll send you an invoice the morning after your appointment.

How do you protect my credit card information?

We use Stripe for payment processing, which means that once your credit card number is entered into our system, the number is securely stored and no longer accessible to anyone on our team.

Clients are free to enter their own credit card information into our system through our online client portal, which means that we can process your payments without anyone on our team ever actually seeing your credit number.

Can you help me choose a therapist and get my first appointment booked?
