Meet Kelly Vick
Hi, I’m Kelly!
I became a therapist because my own experience in therapy truly changed my life, and I wanted to help others change their lives, too.
I love being a therapist because seeing my clients make positive changes in themselves, their relationships, and their lives fills me with joy.
I believe that where there is hope, there is possibility for change, and I look forward to joining you on your journey!
I believe that therapy doesn’t have to suck!
Yes, I said it! So many people are reluctant to try therapy because they’re worried that it’s going to be super awkward or unpleasant, but it doesn’t have to be that way!
When we work together, you’re not going to spend an hour with me staring at you in awkward silence. You’re not going to be pressured to talk about things you don’t want to talk about. You’re not going to spend your valuable time doing endless assessments or filling out worksheets.
And, if you’re coming for couples therapy or marriage counselling, you don’t have to worry about your session being filled with anger, tears, arguing, and finger-pointing.
Yes, sometimes in therapy there may be moments of sadness, anger, or tears, but you’ll also find yourself smiling and probably even laughing!
Many of my clients express that they’re surprised by how much they enjoy therapy and look forward to their sessions, and I’ll do my very best to ensure that you have a positive experience in therapy, too!
I’m passionate about helping couples have happier, healthier relationships.
Remember that feeling when your relationship was brand new? The excitement, the joy, the passion, and the emotional high of falling in love are like nothing else! When you’re in love and your relationship is going great, it can feel like your whole life is better.
Sadly, the opposite is also true: when your relationship isn’t going well it can negatively impact every area of your life, leaving you feeling stressed out, anxious, depressed, or angry.
Life in an unhappy relationship can also be really lonely, because even though you’re not alone, you just don’t feel the love, support, and connection that you used to have with your partner.
I’m passionate about working with couples because I believe that being in a happy, healthy relationship makes life better in so many ways!
I love to see the joy and relief that couples experience when they realize that couples therapy works, and they are making real change in their relationship.
Whether you need help improving communication, reducing conflict, healing from infidelity, restoring passion, or just want to feel more connected with your partner, I believe that where there’s hope, there’s possibility!
“I love solution-focused brief therapy because it creates a positive experience that leaves clients feeling hopeful, motivated, and inspired.
And because I know it works! ”
