Meet Kurtis Robinson

Hi, I’m Kurtis!

I have a curious nature, a passion for learning and I have always been interested in what people can teach me.

Much of therapy involves learning and discovery!

I love that every person I meet teaches me something new.

I am passionate about helping people see how strong they are.

Often, we think about how stress, mental health challenges, and even trauma can leave us wounded. Sometimes we forget that our body, mind and spirit have the innate ability to heal.

I believe that whatever adversity people face, there is always potential to bounce back, find resilience and move forward. My goal is to nurture this healing journey with clients.

“One of the things I love about solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is its beautiful pragmatism. Steve de Shazer, one of the founders of SFBT, once said, “If it works, do more of it. If it doesn’t work, do something else.” Since I’ve learned SFBT I’ve continued to use it with my clients because it works!”

Fun Facts

  • I love being outdoors!

I live and work in beautiful Northern Ontario. I love the outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking and simply appreciating nature within my own backyard.

  • I enjoy a good meal.

I enjoy a good meal and think food brings people together.

  • Coffee is a way of life!

Whether it’s needing a boost to start the day, warming up on a cold afternoon or enjoying a coffee with a good friend, I can always find a reason for a fresh cup.

  • I enjoy painting.

Everything from landscapes, to portraits to pop art. Painting reminds me that it is good to be messy once in a while and mistakes can turn into opportunities.
